Explore Howth

Howth has been a prosperous fishing village for hundreds (if not thousands) of years. As a strategic headland, it was invaded by Vikings and was the location of many battles as different groups fought to possess it. Now it's a desirable upmarket seaside retreat where golfers and rock-stars rub shoulders with long-standing fishing families. Enjoy 75 minutes of free time to explore Howth and perhaps take the opportunity to sample some of Dublin's finest seafood!

Return Journey

Board the bus at Big Bus Tours Stop #1 (13 Upper O'Connell Street). Journey time is 60 minutes each way. Please present your booking confirmation to a Big Bus Tours staff member at least 15 minutes before the tour departs.

Guided Walking Tour

Walking Tours are led by your driver guide in English. Spot gannets, seals, puffins, curlews and of course, seagulls, on the wild headlands overlooking Dublin Bay.

Coastal Tours depart from Big Bus Tours Stop #1 (13 Upper O'Connell Street) at 14:00. The total Coastal Tour time is 4 hours (60 minutes to Howth, 60-minute walking tour, 75 minutes free time, 60 minutes back to Dublin). Please present your booking confirmation to a Big Bus Tours staff member at least 15 minutes before the tour departs. The tour is accessible for wheelchair users and prams and luggage can be brought on the bus.
